Discovering the wine region of Kumeu
The wine region of Kumeu is located in the region of Auckland of North Island of New Zealand. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Kumeu River or the Domaine Kumeu River produce mainly wines white, red and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Kumeu are Chardonnay, Pinot noir and Pinot gris, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Kumeu often reveals types of flavors of cream, nectarine or chard and sometimes also flavors of grilled pineapple, tropical fruit or lemon curd.
In the mouth of Kumeu is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 5 estates and châteaux in the of Kumeu, producing 20 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture.
