The wine region of Friuli Latisana is located in the region of Frioul-Vénétie Julienne of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Isola Augusta or the Domaine Ca'Stella produce mainly wines red, white and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Friuli Latisana are Cabernet franc, Merlot and Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Friuli Latisana often reveals types of flavors of earth, microbio or vegetal and sometimes also flavors of oak, tree fruit or spices.
In the mouth of Friuli Latisana is a powerful. We currently count 12 estates and châteaux in the of Friuli Latisana, producing 44 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Friuli Latisana go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pasta or lamb.

This variety of grape is characterized by small to medium sized bunches, and medium sized grapes. It’s easy to forget that the southern Rhône’s four most prevalent red varieties aren’t indigenous. Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre all appear to originate from Spain; Syrah made its way down the river from the northern Rhône. Of the long tail of other grapes, most have their roots closer to home.
