Sangiovese is the signature red (≥85% in varietal): full-bodied and fruity with red cherry, plum, violet, herbs and spice, firm tannins and lively acidity; Riserva requires 18 months ageing. Cabernet Sauvignon and Barbera add structure. Trebbiano and Chardonnay provide easy-drinking whites.
