The wine region of Tyrnavos is located in the region of Larissa of Thessalia of Greece. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Papras or the Κτήμα Ζαφειράκη (Domaine Zafeirakis) produce mainly wines white, red and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Tyrnavos are Chardonnay, Merlot and Assyrtiko, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Tyrnavos often reveals types of flavors of earth, microbio or vegetal and sometimes also flavors of oak, spices or non oak.
In the mouth of Tyrnavos is a powerful with a nice freshness. The wines of Tyrnavos go well with generally quite well with dishes of pasta, mature and hard cheese or vegetarian.
