The wine region of Gigondas is located in the region of Rhône méridional of Rhone Valley of France. Wineries and vineyards like the Château de Saint Cosme or the Domaine la Bouissiere produce mainly wines red, pink and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Gigondas are Mourvèdre, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Clairette, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Gigondas often reveals types of flavors of butterscotch, butter or baking spice and sometimes also flavors of bay leaf, star anise or pomegranate.
In the mouth of Gigondas is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins. Grenache noir is a grape variety that originated in Spain. It produces a variety of grape specially used for the elaboration of wine. It is rare to find this grape to eat on our tables. This variety of grape is characterized by medium to large bunches, and grapes of medium size. Grenache noir can be found in many vineyards: South West, Cognac, Bordeaux, Provence & Corsica, Languedoc & Roussillon, Rhone Valley, Loire Valley, Savoie & Bugey, Beaujolais.

Vacqueyras Vacqueyras is low-lying and mostly flat, and it was hit hard by the frost in 2021. Yields were down around 25%. Most, however, are light and drinkable, destined to be drunk young.
