Discover the grape variety: Serna

Simple, fresh dry whites with a pale golden colour, a supple palate with moderate acidity and understated aromas of citrus and white flowers. Discreet rustic profile. Preserved in a few ampelographic collections for its heritage value; belongs to the old varieties whose commercial diffusion has almost disappeared and which are studied for their genetic and historical interest. Rare, poorly documented white variety cultivated in negligible quantities.

The wine region of Padthaway

Limestone Coast GI in south-east South Australia (4,052 ha, AGI 1999): Shiraz is the signature red king (~30%) — rich with black fruit and the local eucalyptus signature influence. Chardonnay flagship white king (~24%) — racy and elegant with citrus, white flowers, white-fleshed fruit and minerality, the region's signature. Cabernet Sauvignon (~22%) and Riesling complement. Signature terra rossa over limestone, 64 km inland, the warmest of the six Limestone Coast zones.

The wine region of Australie du Sud

Cradle of the great Australian Shiraz: powerful, sun-drenched reds with notes of blackberry, candied plum, pepper, chocolate and eucalyptus, ample tannins and vibrant fruit (Barossa, McLaren Vale). Firm, minty Cabernet Sauvignon on Coonawarra (terra rossa). Dry, lemony Riesling from Clare and Eden Valley, straight and taut. Fresh Sauvignon and Chardonnay from Adelaide Hills.

The word of the wine: Left bank

In Bordeaux, refers to the vineyards located on the left bank of the Gironde, where the dominant grape variety is Cabernet Sauvignon. These are the Medoc, Haut-Médoc, Pessac-Leognan, Graves, etc. appellations.
