Discovering the wine region of Darling

The wine region of Darling is located in the region of Coastal Region of Western Cape of South Africa. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Groote Post or the Domaine Groote Post produce mainly wines red, white and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Darling are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinotage, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Darling often reveals types of flavors of pineapple, dark fruit or apples and sometimes also flavors of grapefruit, dried fruit or mulberry.

In the mouth of Darling is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 40 estates and châteaux in the of Darling, producing 219 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Darling go well with generally quite well with dishes of rich fish (salmon, tuna etc), shellfish or sweet desserts.
