The Uco Valley (Valle de Uco) is a key winegrowing region of Mendoza, Argentina. An hour's drive South from the city of Mendoza, it is home to some of the region's most famous wines.

The Vendôme hillsides are less than 200 km southwest of Paris. Pineau d'Aunis, a vigorous black grape variety, was first cultivated in the 9th century. It is characterized by a late budburst.
