The Alta-Yarí Estate, located in the heart of the impressive Uco Valley in Argentina, is a true treasure in the world of viticulture. This vineyard extends as far as the eye can see in one of the country's most iconic regions for the production of superior quality wines. Established at the very beginning of the 21st century, the Alta-Yarí Estate quickly stood out for the exceptional quality of its products, thanks to meticulous vineyard work and deep respect for the surrounding nature. The name Alta-Yarí means 'high valley' in the native Huarpe language, a faithful representation of the high altitude at which the vines are grown. The estate stretches over nearly 50 hectares, where various vine varieties are cultivated, with a predominance for Malbec, the symbolic Argentinian grape, but also Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay. It is under a dry climate, with large temperature variations between day and night, and a mineral-rich alluvial soil that these vines are cherished and hand-harvested when the grapes have reached their optimal maturity. The estate's team, composed of expert viticulturists, oenologists and passionate sommeliers, is committed to combining tradition and modernity to produce top-notch wines, representative of the unique terroir of the Uco Valley. Vinification is done respecting the best techniques, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks and aging in French oak barrels for certain cuvées, adding complexity and depth to these wines.
