Sub-region of the Okanagan Valley in southern British Columbia (15 miles north of Osoyoos Lake, east bench at the tip of the Great Basin Desert, deep draining glaciolacustrine sandy soils, desert climate with hot days and cool nights). Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are the Bordeaux red signatures — concentrated, ripe dark fruits and fine tannins preserved by the diurnal range.
