Intraspecific crossing between sylvaner x riesling (perhaps rieslaner) and müller-thurgau obtained in 1930 by Peter Morio (1887-1960) and Bernhard Husfeld (1900-1970) at the Siebeldingen Research Institute (Palatinate) in Germany. It can be found in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Hungary, England, Canada, South Africa, Brazil, ... very little known in France. The Central Valley (El Valle Central) of Chile is one of the most important wine-producing areas in South America in terms of Volume. It is also one of the largest wine regions, stretching from the Maipo Valley (just south of Santiago) to the southern end of the Maule Valley.
