The wine region of Grappa di Amarone
Italian eau-de-vie distilled from the pressed pomace of dried Amarone della Valpolicella grapes (Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara), steeped in the great dry concentrated wine. Amber robe with caramel glints after barrel ageing; intense, enveloping nose of dried fruits, vanilla, coffee, toasted wood, liquorice, chestnut honey, musk and warm spices (cinnamon, black pepper). Harmoniously robust, warm, structured yet supple palate with a long finish. Signature elegance and depth.
The wine region of Veneto
World star of Prosecco: fresh, light Glera sparklers with notes of pear, green apple and white flowers, fruity, convivial bubbles. Veronese reds from Corvina and Rondinella: light, crisp Bardolino, fruity Valpolicella, opulent, concentrated Amarone DOCG (black cherry, chocolate, raisin) from dried grapes. Mineral, almondy Soave (Garganega) whites, fresh Pinot Grigio. 97,500 ha, Italy's largest production.
