The Château Les Charmes Godard is an exceptional vineyard estate, located in the commune of Francs, at the heart of the Francs - Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, in France. With its 15th century chateau, it stands as one of the oldest wine estates in the region. Covering an area of about 16 hectares, this estate benefits from a rich and varied terroir, whose geology composed of limestones mixed with clay-limestone soils favors the production of high-quality grapes. Thus, the vines, mainly planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, thrive under a temperate oceanic climate, characterized by hot summers and mild winters, ideal for viticulture. Authenticity is one of the key words that define Château Les Charmes Godard. The estate indeed favors traditional production methods, respectful of the environment. The use of pesticides is therefore kept to a strict minimum, and special care is given to each vine throughout the production cycle. Harvesting is carried out manually to preserve the quality of the grapes. The estate mainly produces red wines, characteristic of the Francs - Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. These are distinguished by their elegance, their balance and their concentration, offering aromas of black fruits, licorice and spices that quickly seduce wine connoisseurs. However, Château Les Charmes Godard also produces an exceptional white wine, a blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon, which captivates with its freshness and the complexity of its aromas. Adorned with a shady park, a wine trail and a tasting room, the estate also welcomes visitors wishing to discover its vinicultural wealth.
