Discover the grape variety: Melnik
It is most certainly one of the oldest vitis vinifera varieties found mainly in the southwestern part of Bulgaria, and is not known elsewhere - except perhaps in neighbouring Greece and Macedonia - than in this country where it is recognized as endemic. It should not be confused with Ranna Melnishka Loza, also known as Melnik 55, which is the result of crosses between this Melnik and several known Vitis viniferas, including Valdiguié.

Piedmont (Piemonte) holds an unrivalled place among the world's finest wine regions. Located in northwestern Italy, it is home to more DOCG wines than any other Italian region, including such well-known and respected names as Barolo, Barbaresco and Barbera d'Asti. Though famous for its Austere, Tannic, Floral">floral reds made from Nebbiolo, Piedmont's biggest success story in the past decade has been Moscato d'Asti, a Sweet, Sparkling white wine.
