Grand Cru of 3. 46 ha in Puligny-Montrachet (southern Côte de Beaune, AOC 1937) at the foot of the Bâtard slope: 100% Chardonnay, among the world's greatest whites. Golden robe, complex nose of hazelnut, butter, honey, white flowers and stony notes, rich and opulent palate with chalky minerality and an impressive length. East-facing at 240–250 m, heavy chalky soils more clayey than the upper slope, on Jurassic marly limestone (175 Ma), ages 20+ years.

Absolute reference for great terroir wines: opulent, mineral Chardonnay in whites (chiselled Chablis, buttery Meursault, majestic Montrachet), fine and silky Pinot Noir in reds (full-bodied Gevrey, structured Pommard, delicate Volnay). Exceptional age-worthy wines with complex notes - red fruits, undergrowth, butter, hazelnut. Some lively Aligoté and light Gamay (Mâconnais). 29,500 ha, 84 tiered AOCs (Régionale, Village, 1er Cru, Grand Cru), 1,247 UNESCO Climats.
