The Château Léoville Poyferré is a winemaking estate located in the French commune of Saint-Julien, at the extreme northwest of the city bordered by the Mediterranean. Founded in 1610, the 135-hectare property is a former monastic estate that has grown over the centuries. The vineyards are primarily planted with varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, with around 4 hectares entirely devoted to white grapes. Its extensive vineyards offer a potent, rich, and complex output allowing a wide range of wine styles.
