Grand Cru of Wintzenheim near Colmar (~76 ha, 270–370 m, full south/south-east slope, Oligocene marl-limestone and conglomerate sandstone, dry and warm microclimate): signature Gewurztraminer — powerful, wild in youth, smoky and spicy, evolving nobly with age — and structured Riesling with intense minerality and persistent ripe vivacity. Weißburgunder as complement. Vineyard cited since the 9th century, high alcohol, exceptional complexity and ageing potential.
