The Dugat Py Estate, situated in the beautiful Côte de Beaune of Burgundy in France, is a winery whose reputation for creating one of the world's finest glasses of pinot noir is well established. This small family estate produces both red and white wines that are all exceptional vintages. The estate's vineyards stretch over more than 25 hectares of constantly maintained plants and are bordered by wooded hillsides and beautiful hills. The Dugat-Py family brings a lot of passion and attention to this winery, and at every step of the production process, in order to stay true to their mission: to ensure more than just the making of wines; to produce ones that reflect the typical balance and finesse of Burgundy. The vines and hillsides are situated at different altitudes, some of the highest in the region, thus offering ideal conditions to grow high-quality grapes. The harvests are gently done by hand by carefully selected winemakers. The grapes are then picked in two stages, the first harvest being slightly acidic and the other stratified, which will give each wine its typical characteristic and flavor of the region; often fruity and spicy with purple and red tones. After the harvest, a maceration and fermentation process in concrete vats is implemented to allow the Dugat-Py wines to reveal their character and flavor. The harvested wines are then bottled and aged in oak barrels. The Dugat-Py Estate produces elegant and complex red wines, such as their famous Meursaults, Corton-Charlemagnes and Gevrey-Chambertins, as well as other top-quality grand crus. The precious and light whites have great complexity and a very long shelf life. The Dugat-Py Estate is definitely an exceptional winery in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, where the Dugat-Py family is behind wines made up of beautiful terroirs and true artisanal know-how.

The Côte de Burgundy/cote-de-beaune/beaune">Beaune is a key wine region in Burgundy, eastern France. It owes its name to its main town, Beaune - the epicentre of local wine production and trade. Renowned for producing some of the world's most expensive white wines (most of which bear the name Montrachet in one form or another), the region also produces a handful of Burgundy's finest red wines, including those from the premier crus Pommard and grand cru Corton. As with most Burgundy wines, the white wines are made from Hardonnay">Chardonnay, the reds from Pinot Noir.

The Côte de Beaune is a narrow strip of land less than 5 kilometers wide, extending 25 kilometers to the northeast. The main Vineyard of the Côte de Beaune is almost exactly the same Size and shape as its northern counterpart, the Côte de Nuits. Together, these two regions form the Côte d'Or, a region named after the Côte d'Or and characterized by the Côte d'Or limestone escarpment that forms its backbone. The importance of this escarpment to Côte de Beaune viticulture is hard to underestimate; not only does it protect the vineyards from the prevailing westerly winds, but it also provides gently sloping, free-draining vineyard sites with near-perfect South and southeast aspects.
