Round, supple whites with a soft palate, showing discreet aromas of apple, pear, fresh almond, white flowers and brioche notes. Moderate acidity, light finish. Star of Crémant d'Alsace (fine, taut sparkling) and base of Edelzwicker. Grown in Germany (Weissburgunder, Baden-Württemberg), northern Italy (Pinot Bianco, Alto Adige), Austria and Luxembourg. A white mutation of Pinot Noir.

Sunny Mediterranean Levant, sun-drenched accessible wines. Monastrell (Mourvèdre) star red in Alicante: fleshy and deep with black fruits, garrigue, leather and spice, firm tannins. Grenache is a black grape variety that originated in Spain and is one of the great quality varieties of southern France. Sometimes vinified on its own, it is most often blended with one or more other Rhone or southern grape varieties with complementary qualities such as Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan or Cinsault. Its wines are warm, with aromas of red fruits (cherry) and spices; they oxidize with time.
