Discover the grape variety: Lignage
Simple, dry and fresh whites with a pale golden hue, a supple palate with moderate acidity, showing understated aromas of citrus and white flowers. Discreet, rustic profile. Almost disappeared from commercial cultivation, preserved in INRAE varietal collections, it testifies to the pre-phylloxera ampelographic diversity of the South-West and is among the heritage varieties being studied. Syrah and Cabernet as backup. A few whites (Garnacha Blanca, Macabeu). DO (2001), schists ("llicorella") and clay-limestones, Mediterranean-continental climate.

Cradle of Cava (~95% of Spanish output, traditional method): Macabeo, Xarel-lo, Parellada trilogy, fine fruity bubble. Quality peak in Priorat DOCa: dense, mineral reds on llicorella (schist), old-vine Garnacha and Cariñena with black fruit, garrigue notes, firm tannins. Also Penedès, fleshy Montsant, sunny Empordà, Costers del Segre. Mediterranean.
