The Château de la Tour is a globally recognized vineyard located in the village of Meursault, in the Côte-d'Or department of Burgundy, in France. The La Tour family has been at the head of operations since 1836 and enjoys a prestigious reputation. The estate is situated in the heart of Burgundy, a wine-growing area offering exceptional wines worldwide. It is geographically located near Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Meursault, all of which have specific climates, giving the region varied terroirs. Château de la Tour is known for producing fresh and elegant wines with complex aromas. The estate covers around 25 hectares, 20 of which are dedicated to vineyards and the rest to orchards. The vines are cultivated with the production practices and the grape varieties in place in the region, with the exception of chardonnay and pinot noir grape varieties. Most of the grape varieties are local, and the vines are planted on mild slopes to take full advantage of the sun and poor limestone soils. The Château de la Tour produces several wines with appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC), including red wine, white wine, and crémant. The red wine is highly appreciated for its freshness and well-balanced aromas. The white wine is generally very complex with hints of honey or lemon. Wines from Château de la Tour are exceptional additional wines that are worth a detour and offer unique flavors for all palates. The Château de la Tour also offers visitors the opportunity to taste wines and other products from the vineyards. Tastings and in-depth tours can be organized to discover this beautiful region and its specific wine products. Visitors can also opt for a memorable walk around the property and lands, with spectacular coastal panoramas.
