The wine region of Viré-Clessé is located in the region of Mâconnais of Burgundy of France. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Thevenet & Fils or the Domaine Jean-Pierre Michel produce mainly wines white and red. The Mâconnais wine region in Southern Burgundy is centred on the provincial town of Mâcon, from which it takes its name.
