German sub-region of the Ahr valley (Rhineland-Palatinate) around Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, steep vineyards on slate and schist, rare northern red wine zone. Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir, >60%) as the signature red: fine and silky with red cherry, raspberry, undergrowth, smoke and a slate mineral touch, melted tannins and taut acidity — a great northern expression of Pinot. Frühburgunder as an early-ripening, fruity complement.

Signature Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir) (>60%): elegant, structured reds with signature notes of cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, undergrowth and sweet spice, silky tannins and taut freshness — Burgundian style in an improbable climate.
