Star of Sardinia (Vermentino di Gallura DOCG), Liguria, coastal Tuscany (Bolgheri) and Corsica. Also in Provence and Languedoc-Roussillon as Rolle. An autochthonous Mediterranean variety.

Cannonau, Monica and Nieddera as full-bodied Mediterranean reds with red fruits, cherry and spice.
