The wine region of Manchuela is located in the region of Castille of Spain. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Finca Sandoval or the Domaine Bodega Iniesta produce mainly wines red, white and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Manchuela are Bobal, Tempranillo and Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Manchuela often reveals types of flavors of beeswax, raspberry or chocolate and sometimes also flavors of cedar, cigar box or floral.
In the mouth of Manchuela is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins. We currently count 42 estates and châteaux in the of Manchuela, producing 208 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Manchuela go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pasta or veal.
Very old Spanish grape variety originating and cultivated in the upper Douro Valley - Ribera del Duero province of Burgos -. It is believed to be the result of a natural cross between the white Heben and a variety that is still unknown today. It should be noted that the synonym albillo is used for many other grape varieties, such as chasselas, muscat of Alexandria or albillo de Toro, verdejo or albillo de Nava, ... and it should not be confused with torrontés riojano. You can find the Albillo mayor in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Peru, Chile, Bulgaria, ... completely unknown in France.
Nearly 9% of Champagne’s vineyard area will be covered by the merger between Centre Vinicole – Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte and the Coopérative Régionale des Vins de Champagne (CRVC), which includes the Champagne Castelnau label.
