Grand Cru of Hunawihr in Haut-Rhin (~26 ha, 260-330 m, east-south-east exposure, Triassic Muschelkalk and dolomitic Lettenkohle limestone, calci-magnesian soils with Vosges sandstone debris). Riesling is the signature grape (50%): dry, powerful and concentrated with ripe aromas and superb extended saline tension. Gewurztraminer (30%) adds richness.
