The wine region of Ycoden-Daute-Isora
DOP (1994) on the western slope of Tenerife (Canary Islands), with exceptional altitude vineyards (50–1,500 m) on volcanic slopes of Teide, all ungrafted. Listán Blanco is the white king (≥80%): dry and lively with citrus, green apple, white flowers and a smoky volcanic mineral note. Listán Negro and Tintilla (Trousseau) give supple reds with red fruits, garrigue and a peppery touch. Malvasía and Moscatel produce aromatic whites.
