The Vincent Dauvissat Estate is one of the most prestigious vineyards in Chablis, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. Founded in 1957 by Vincent Dauvissat Senior, the wine house has gained a solid reputation due to its exceptional production of fine, natural wines. The entire vineyard cultivated on the estate spans about 10 hectares, located on the steepest slopes of Chablis. The silico-limestone soil is rich in clay, marls, and sands, allowing the winemakers to extract the distinctive aromas and character that make the wines from the Vincent Dauvissat Estate so highly appreciated. In terms of winemaking, the house's tradition is rooted in respect for the grape. The wine is aged for about 12 months in Oak barrels and undergoes no chaptalization or chemical manipulation. The range of wines from the Vincent Dauvissat Estate is considered one of the most complete in the region. The white wines are absolutely exceptional, notably the Marisa, Petit Chablis, and Perrieres. The red wines are made with Pinot Noir but are vinified differently, resulting in deeper and more intricately made wines. Among the red wines, there is the Vau de Vey, Fourchaume, and Vaillons. The Estate also produces a special sparkling wine, the Clos du Fourchet, which is sought after by sparkling wine enthusiasts. As one of the few winegrowers in Chablis to produce without interruption for generations, the Vincent Dauvissat Estate is now led by his son François. With the help of a competent team and family know-how, he continues the house's spirit and shares the richness of its terroir. An exhilarating visit of the vineyards and cellars is always possible and provides the opportunity to taste the precious wines produced by the Estate.
