The Château Touzinat is an exceptional winemaking estate located in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru region, in France. Nestled on the slopes of the charming commune of St. Sulpice de Faleyrens, established in the heart of the appellation, this vineyard is known for its production of superior quality wine, which authentically expresses the unique characteristics of this privileged terroir. A family property for several generations, Château Touzinat spans over seven hectares of vineyards, mainly resting on sandy and gravelly soil. This natural environment, with climatic conditions particularly favorable for viticulture, lends the grapes grown on this land exceptional maturity and aromatic concentration. Each vineyard of the estate is meticulously cultivated with environmentally-friendly practices. Here, emphasis is placed on quality over quantity, with a limited harvest designed to optimize the richness and complexity of the wines. The grape varieties are mainly Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, which yield wines with intense aromas of red and black fruits, along with spicy and earthy notes. At Château Touzinat, the art of winemaking is a tradition that has been perfected over time. The vinification takes place in stainless steel vats to preserve the purity of the flavors, before maturing in French oak barrels for approximately twelve to fourteen months to add complexity. The result is an intense wine, full of character, with a solid tannic structure and a long finish. The experience at Château Touzinat would not be complete without a visit to the cellars. The place offers wine tastings and tours of the estate to discover the rich wine heritage of the region.
