Discover the grape variety: Harslevelu

Aromatic and structured whites with an ample palate and firm acidity, on aromas of linden flowers (hence its name, hárslevelű = linden leaf), honey, apricot, quince, yellow peach and spiced notes. Exceptional aptitude for noble rot. An essential component of the great Tokaji Aszú liquoreux and Tokaji Szamorodni, also vinified as ambitious dry whites at Somló and Eger. Native Hungarian variety, Furmint's historical partner in Tokaj.

The wine region of Orange

High-altitude Australian region (600-1,100 m) in New South Wales: signature Chardonnay as king white — racy and mineral with notes of lively citrus, green apple, pear, white flowers and a chalky touch, chiselled acidity preserved by the cool climate. Pinot Noir, spicy Shiraz and structured Cabernet as elegant reds (cherry, pepper, blackberry, cedar). Taut Sauvignon Blanc as backup. GI (1997), volcanic basaltic soils on Mount Canobolas (extinct volcano), cool high-altitude climate.

The wine region of Nouvelle-Galles du Sud

Australia's 2nd wine state with diverse regions. Iconic Hunter Valley: a Sémillon unlike any other, straight, low-alcohol dry whites with vivid citrus when young, evolving over 10-20 years toward honey, toast and lanolin. Medium-bodied Hunter Shiraz, spicy and earthy (leather, red fruits). Also round Chardonnay and aromatic Verdelho.

The word of the wine: Reduction

A physiological and chemical phenomenon that occurs in wine in the absence of oxygen. The smell of reduction is characterized by animal and sometimes fetid notes that disappear in principle with aeration. It is recommended to decant reduced wines.
