The wine region of Montpeyroux

Village AOC in the northern Hérault of the Languedoc (clay-limestone and schist soils, arid terroir): Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah are the signature kings in exclusive reds, complemented by the identity Carignan and Cinsault (min. 3 varieties, leading variety min. 40%) — deep purple when young, aromas of garrigue, ripe fruit, anise, pepper and dried flowers, well-structured with fine tannins, roundness and freshness preserved by Carignan, full body, ageing-worthy.

The wine region of Languedoc-Roussillon

Largest single French vineyard, dominated by sunny, generous reds. Spicy Syrah, candied Grenache (ripe fruit, garrigue), structured Carignan, deep Mourvèdre, supple Cinsault. Stars: structured Corbières, Minervois, Faugères, Saint-Chinian; round Côtes-du-Roussillon. Legendary vins doux naturels: Banyuls and Maury (fortified Grenache) with notes of cocoa, fig, prune.

The word of the wine: Bordeaux futures

Bordeaux wines are expected 2 to 3 years before bottling. In the spring following the harvest, the wines are offered by the châteaux to the Bordeaux wine merchants via the brokers.
