Interspecific crossing between 101-14 Millardet and Grasset (vitis riparia X vitis rupestris) and the goldriesling obtained by Eugène Kühlmann around 1911. The Aconcagua Valley is a wine-producing region of Chile, located 100 kilometres (60 miles) North of the capital, Santiago. During the vinification process, a "cap" is formed at the top of the vats with the solid parts (skin, pulp, pips, etc.), which contain tannins and colouring elements.
