Flagship Premier Cru climat on the right bank of the Serein (Homme Mort, Vaupulent, Cote de Fontenay, Vaulorent): 100% Chardonnay on clay-limestone soils between 130 and 200 m, west/south-west exposure. Whites prized for sensuality and ripe fruit — golden robe with green reflections, honeyed aromas of acacia, almond and hazelnut, mineral notes of gunflint and undergrowth. Cellaring 3-10 years, one of the most generous Premiers Crus.

Absolute reference for great terroir wines: opulent, mineral Chardonnay in whites (chiselled Chablis, buttery Meursault, majestic Montrachet), fine and silky Pinot Noir in reds (full-bodied Gevrey, structured Pommard, delicate Volnay). The word of the wine: Rebêche (champagne)

Must obtained in excess of the 2 550 litres authorised for a weight of 4 000 kilos of grapes. The first 2 050 litres constitute the cuvée and the next 500 litres the taille. The rebêche represents 1 to 3 % of the total volume and must be distilled or used to make ratafia.
