The Joan Sardà Estate is a prestigious winery located in the beautiful region of Catalonia, Spain. For three generations, this family estate has forged its identity through their love for wine and their deep understanding of Catalan terroir. It is situated near the municipalities of Santa Margarida i els Monjos and Pontons, thus offering an environment rich in botanical diversity and a wide variety of soils. Spanning an area of 66 hectares of vineyards, the estate is nestled in the heart of nature. Its location benefits from a Mediterranean microclimate, characterized by hot summers and mild winters, an ideal condition for grape cultivation. The limestone and clay soils add great complexity to the wines produced by the estate. The vines are carefully maintained, following a process that respects both the environment and the wine-making tradition. The Joan Sardà Estate produces a varied range of wines, including many quality sparkling wines (Cavas), which are the most renowned in the region. The estate also distinguishes itself with its offer of still wines, both red, white, and rosé, made from local varieties such as Xarel-lo, Macabeo and Parellada, but also international grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In addition to viticulture, the Joan Sardà Estate places great importance on wine tourism. It offers visits to the estate, as well as wine tastings accompanied by a detailed explanation of the vinification and aging process. By exploring the vineyards and cellars, visitors can truly understand and appreciate the wine-making process and the history of this heritage-filled estate.
