Grand Cru of Ribeauvillé in the Haut-Rhin (~12 ha, 250–360 m, south-south-west facing, very stony clay soils over Triassic dolomitic marls and lower Muschelkalk dolomites, gypsum marls and sandstone of middle Muschelkalk upstream, limestone seam): Riesling is the dominant signature — direct and refined with apricot, yellow peach, fresh almond and pistachio, developing towards white truffle and mint. Muscat and Pinot Gris as early-ripening complements.
