Discover the grape variety: Grenache noir

Supple, sunny reds with a light robe and generous alcohol, with aromas of candied red fruits (strawberry, raspberry, cherry), garrigue, gentle spices, white pepper and kirsch notes. Ripe tannins and a warm palate. Pillar of GSM blends in the southern Rhône (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras), star of Tavel rosé, Priorat and Aragonese Garnacha. Also in natural sweet wines (Banyuls, Maury, Rasteau). Historic Mediterranean variety from Aragon.

The wine region of Vin de France

The freest category of French wine, the playground of winemakers working outside the AOC. All styles combined: fruity reds, lively or ambitious whites, everyday rosés, unusual blends, natural wines, atypical grapes (Petit Manseng in Languedoc, Riesling in Provence), experimental winemaking (skin-contact whites, no sulphur). Grape and vintage labelling allowed, no geographic constraint. From the pop, convivial cuvée to the artisan gem: freedom in a bottle.

The word of the wine: Second wine

In the Bordeaux vineyard, the second wine is a lesser-aged wine made from the youngest vines, while the main wine of the château is called the "grand vin".
