Discover the grape variety: Nosiola

This is an ancient indigenous variety that has been cultivated for a long time in the north-east of Italy, particularly in the Trentino-Alto Adige region, although it has been somewhat neglected. It is related to rèze and groppello bianco, but should not be confused with veneto durella. The Nosiola can be found in Spain, Australia, ... in France it is almost unknown.

The wine region of Macedon Ranges

The wine region of Macedon Ranges is located in the region of Port Phillip of Victoria of Australia. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Bindi or the Domaine Curly Flat produce mainly wines red, white and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Macedon Ranges are Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Macedon Ranges often reveals types of flavors of cream, stone fruit or citrus and sometimes also flavors of apples, peach or lemon.

The wine region of Victoria

Victoria is a relatively small but important Australian wine state. Located in the Southeastern corner of the continent, with a generally cool, ocean-influenced Climate, Victorian wine is remarkably diverse, producing all sorts of wines and styles in different climates. In all, the state covers almost 250,000 square kilometres (over 90,000 square miles) of land (almost the same Size as the US state of Texas), well under a quarter the size of its western neighbour, South Australia, and less than a third the size of New South Wales to the North. As such, Victoria's size - and to some extent, the state's viticultural history - can defy generalization.

The word of the wine: Black Grenache

Grenache is a black grape variety that originated in Spain and is one of the great quality varieties of southern France. Sometimes vinified on its own, it is most often blended with one or more other Rhone or southern grape varieties with complementary qualities such as Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan or Cinsault. Its wines are warm, with aromas of red fruits (cherry) and spices; they oxidize with time. Vinified alone or in very large proportions, Grenache Noir also makes great natural sweet wines in Roussillon (Rivesaltes, Banyuls, Maury) and in the Rhône Valley (Rasteau).
