Star wine region of Hebei, 80 km from Beijing, altitude vineyards (500–1,050 m) with a dry continental climate, producing ≥90% of provincial output. Cabernet Sauvignon signature: structured, blackcurrant, black cherry, blackberry and spice, firm tannins and ageing potential. Merlot supple, Cabernet Gernischt (Carménère) fleshy with herbal-pepper notes. Chardonnay opulent in white.
