The wine region of Alsace Grand Cru 'Spiegel'

Grand Cru of Guebwiller and Bergholtz in Haut-Rhin (18. 26 ha, 260–315 m east-facing, Oligocene substrate of sandstone-pebble conglomerates and Latdorfian marls, Triassic sandstone colluvium, sandy-clay soils): Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris are the signature whites — opulent and rich on this sandy texture. Riesling elegant and persistent in the southern sandstone sub-zone, Muscat airy as a complement.

The wine region of Alsace

Capital of great French aromatic whites, most often dry and single-varietal. Straight, mineral Riesling (lemon, gunflint), opulent, exuberant Gewurztraminer (lychee, rose, spices), round, smoky Pinot Gris, floral, crisp Muscat, supple Pinot Blanc. Fine, fruity Crémants d'Alsace, exceptional sweet Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles. 15,500 ha at the foot of the Vosges on varied soils, 51 Grands Crus since 1975.

The word of the wine: SGN

Selection of noble grains. Appellation reserved for a type of sweet wine produced in Alsace.
