Rhône departmental IGP (junction of the Rhône corridor and Alpine foothills, gravelly alluvials in the north, marls and limestone on slopes, clay and sand in the south, Mediterranean, Mistral): Syrah, Grenache, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay, Pinot Noir and Marselan as signature reds — full-bodied Grenache, lively and spicy Syrah, long ageing in blends. Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, Chardonnay and Clairette in floral fruity whites, 2,500-2,800 hours sun.
