Clos de Luz is a prestigious vineyard located in the famous Central Valley region of Chile. Nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes dominated by spectacular mountains and vast plains, the vineyard is renowned for its remarkable wines and commitment to sustainability. Spanning over 70 hectares, Clos de Luz was established in 1892, a legacy of the Massoc family saga dating back more than four centuries. It is in the shadow of the Andes Mountains and sheltered from the cool Pacific seaborne breezes that the vines take root in deep alluvial soils from the Tertiary era, giving a distinct and unique flavour to the vine production. The vineyard is recognised for its high-quality organic wine production, with a particular emphasis on Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties, which wonderfully express themselves in this environment. Their winemaking philosophy is based on a minimalist approach, respecting the individual character of each plot and grape variety to produce wines that truly reflect their original terroir. Management of the Clos de Luz is heavily focused on sustainable farming, including the use of organic and biodynamic methods for the care of the vines. As part of their commitment to the environment, they have also implemented initiatives to reduce water and energy use in their operations. Beyond the vine, the vineyard also offers a comprehensive experience for visitors. Its charm lies in the natural beauty of the landscape, the grandeur of its historic buildings, and the pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Visitors are welcomed in a modern and elegant tasting room where they can savour the vineyard's wines while enjoying a panoramic view of the vineyard.
