The Château Duhart-Milon is a premier grand wine from Pauillac, located on a land rich in Médoc viticulture between the Gironde estuary and the Médoc. It is one of the most beloved and respected wines of the region. Covering almost 50 hectares, the vineyard of Château Duhart-Milon produces a highly distinguished wine from traditional Médoc grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The production is primarily focused around the terroir of AOC Pauillac of the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (Controlled Origin Appellation). The annual production is approximately 17,000 bottles. The Château Duhart-Milon is the work of two renowned wine families, the Château Lafite-Rothschild and the Château Latour, who united in 1973 to form the new Duhart-Milon company. From the outset, the vineyard has been very successful and quickly became a monopoly, quickly establishing itself as one of the best wines in Bordeaux. The wine produced by the estate is delicate and elegant and presents a true trap for the palate. Light and fruity with rustic and earthy notes, it has tannic characteristics that add complexity and aromatic depth. Remarkably rich and intense at the same time, this grand wine has become one of the most appreciated in Pauillac and pairs well with poultry, veal or game dishes, but also with typical aged Médoc cheeses.
