The Château de Ferrand is a wine estate located in Saint-Émilion Grand Cru in Aquitaine, France. The Château was established by the Martin family in 1851 and currently represents an impressive and tumultuous history of over a century and a half. The estate covers an area of 24 hectares, of which 16 hectares are vineyards. The Château mainly produces quality red wines. The blend of Château de Ferrand consists of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vinification is done separately for 18 to 20 months in barrels. All the great wines are aged for 16 to 18 months before being bottled. Château de Ferrand is managed by Charles and Virginie de Robinet de Cléry. Charles de Robinet de Cléry is a passionate oenologist and has been a fan of organic farming for many years. His ambition is to make Château de Ferrand a fully organic estate by 2020.
