The Drappier Estate is located in the clay hillsides of the Montagne de Reims, in Champagne, France. The estate has been run by the Drappier family since 1808, and it continues to produce exceptional sparkling wines and still wines. The vineyards cover 50 hectares of land and encompass the slopes of Chigny-les-Roses, Trois-Puits, Louvois, and Mailly-Champagne. The philosophy of organic farming has been at the basis of all its production since 1978, and more recently, the estate has also become grassed and biodynamic. A strict and personalized selection of the grapes and a particular attention to traditional grape varieties, such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, whether in blending or pressing, are key points for achieving the quality and distinction of their wines. Chardonnay is the grape variety they prefer for their sparkling wines. The wines are selected and blended from each distinct vineyard plot and are subjected to rebottling depending on the characteristics of each cru. Through the combination of respect and implementation of traditional methods and innovative practices, the Drappier Estate is a global benchmark in the production of sparkling wines. Their traditional, personal and attentive winemaking method ensures that every bottle is marked by all the love and know-how that produced it. This is why Drappier Estate is considered a leader in wine quality and a model to follow in the Champagne region.
