Nevada is a state in the western United States, bordered by Oregon and Idaho to the North and California to the west. The state covers 286,000 km² (110,500 square miles) between latitudes 35° and 42°.

Canada’s western province of British Columbia (BC), has approved six new sub-appellations for its most famous wine-growing region of Okanagan Valley. Bordeaux’s administrative court of appeal has effectively validated the St-Emilion 2012 Classification after rejecting long-standing complaints from three châteaux.
