The wine region of Herbertsdale is located in the region of Cape South Coast of Western Cape of South Africa. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Jakkalsvlei or the Domaine Jakkalsvlei produce mainly wines red, white and natural sweet. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Herbertsdale are Pinotage, Merlot and Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Herbertsdale often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or microbio and sometimes also flavors of oak, spices or red fruit.
In the mouth of Herbertsdale is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 1 estates and châteaux in the of Herbertsdale, producing 6 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Herbertsdale go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, game (deer, venison) or poultry.
