The wine region of Abkhazeti is located in the region of Black Sea Coast of Georgia. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Duripsh or the Domaine Abkhazia produce mainly wines red, white and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Abkhazeti are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Abkhazeti often reveals types of flavors of cherry, strawberries or cranberry and sometimes also flavors of wild strawberries, honey or non oak.
We currently count 6 estates and châteaux in the of Abkhazeti, producing 57 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Abkhazeti go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or game (deer, venison).
