A very old vine cultivated in the northwest of Italy, in Piedmont to be precise (provinces of Asti and Allessandria). The wine region of Texas
Texas is the largest state in the United States of America and one of the most productive viticultural states. Covering 696,000 km² (268,000 square miles) between latitudes 25-36°N, this hot, Dry state is home to a range of mesoclimates suitable for viticulture in the deserts, mountains, lakes and plains of Texas. The word of the wine: Draft liquor (champagne)
After blending, the wine is bottled with a liqueur de tirage (a mixture of sugar and wine) and a yeast (selected yeasts). The yeast attacks the sugar and creates carbon dioxide. The fermentation, which lasts about two months, is prolonged by an ageing period (15 months minimum in total). The bottle is capped (some rare vintages are capped with a staple and a cork).
