The wine region of Côtes de Thongue is located in the region of Pays d'Oc of Vin de Pays of France. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine de l'Arjolle or the Domaine de l'Arjolle produce mainly wines red, white and pink. Vin de Pays (VDP), the French national equivalent of PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) at the European level, is a quality category of French wines, positioned between Vin de Table (VDT) and Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC). The word of the wine: Champagne rosé
Often obtained by adding red wines (from Champagne), it is even the only vineyard where this practice is allowed. Some producers prefer the practice used in other regions, i.e. a short maceration to extract sufficient colouring matter. This results in winey rosés for meals.
