Extreme northwest mountain AVA of Sonoma above Lake Sonoma (AVA 2002, 160 acres) at minimum 800 ft elevation: Zinfandel is the signature red king — concentrated with deep dark fruit intensity, peppery spices, mineral salinity and high acidity distinct from valley-floor Zins.
